Cleaning Circle Lenses

Cleaning circle lenses isn't such a daunting task as it seems to be, but like any other regular contact lenses, you have to make sure that you clean the case and rinse your lenses every single day, especially after each use. A simple lens solution will help you easily do the task.

When you first receive your pair of circle lenses you will notice that each one has its own vile with solution already inside. You have to make sure that you take each lens out separately and carefully. Simply dump the solution it comes with, rinse the lens a few times with the solution to make sure there's no debris or remaining protein substance that may be incased in it. You then fill up the lens case with the new solution and place the clean circle lens inside. Follow the same procedure for the second incased circle lens.

Circle lens hygiene is a must! Like other contact lenses, if not taken care of properly and if the solution is not changed daily it can collect bacteria and could possibly affect your eyes, which by the way, are very sensitive. And if you ever decide to stop wearing your lenses for a couple of days or weeks, you still have to change the solution because some lenses absorb the solution and it dries it out. Changing the solution will help prolong the lens' life.

Another thing that you should pay attention to is prior to taking out your circle lenses; you have to make sure that your hands are clean and dry, because the last thing you want is take your lenses out with dirty fingers. Rinse your hands with water and soap, and preferably dry them with a clean paper towel. Make sure this process is thoroughly done! No soap residue should be left on your hands before touching your eyes.

With clean hands, remove your circle lens one at a time. Place the removed lens on the palm of your hand. Then, add few drops of lens solution onto the lens that's currently sitting on your hands. With your index figure give it a quick and gentle rub while making sure there is no debris that is left. Then put it onto the clean lens case with the new solution. Repeat with the other lens.

Always remember not to mix water with the lens solution which can cause irritation. Do not clean your lenses with water.

Cleanliness is a huge factor when dealing with circle lenses. However, if irritation occurs even after cleaning, immediately stop usage and seek medical help.
