How to Know if Your Backpack is a Quality One

The quality of a backpack will determine how long it lasts and whether it will stand up to whatever challenges you put if through. Depending on what you want to do with your backpack the emphasis on quality material will change. For example if you are a student look for something to carry a laptop and some book. The required strength of the material the backpack is made out of is much less than says someone who wants to go a week longer camping trips, a military tour or build an emergency survival kit. I will now go into detail about the factors that influence the quality of a backpack.

Material

Most backpack backs are made for thick fabrics like polyester. Some backpacks are made from real leather. The thicker the material the less likely it will be to tearing or holes forming in the backpack if it is heavily loaded or dragged across the floor. The material the backpack is made out of can also affect how comfortable it is. the straps and are of the pack the comes into contact with the wearers back can be make from stiff material or soft material. Some people prefer the extra support a stiff backpack give whilst other prefer the fact that a soft backpack will mould to the space of you back. It all about choice and with so many great models to choose you're sure to find something for you.

Padding

The padding on a backpack greatly affects the comfort of a backpack. The more padding your backpack has the less you will "feel" the weight of the pack on you shoulders and back. However too much padding can cause the backpack to become very bulky, actually making the backpack less comfortable to wear. Padding should also be used inside of the backpack to protect your valuables from damage. Many backpacks in the Oakley range have special padded area for sunglasses to avoid scratching the lenses. Laptop backpacks will have a special padded area for your laptop.

Stitching

The stitching on backpack it the glue that holds everything together. The stitching should not be fraying in any way during the early life of a good backpack. Most manufacturers offer some can of warranty on the backpacks so if you see any kind of fraying of the stitches within the first year of its use send to the e manufacturer for a replacement or refund immediately.
