The benefits of bio degradability

The word bio degradable is much in use now. Every product is assigned the label of bio degradable which gives indication that the product is less harmful to the nature. The word "bio degradable" means which degrades in the nature by itself by means of micro organisms causing very less effect on the nature or the human beings. It has been found out that almost every plastic made material causes harm to the nature as they are not recyclable and also they do not degrade in the nature by itself. Thus an alternative to the use of it has to be found out.

It's now in fashion that one has started using fashionable tote bags and carrier bags. Since ages an only plastic bag were used but later on plastic was replaced by paper. But paper too somehow caused harm and so a need arose for the manufacturer to make something which satisfies the need as well as causes less pollution. Biodegradable plastic bags were truly a perfect outcome to it. Biodegradable plastic bags are every much useful in every filed. One can use them for packaging of food stuffs. For medicinal packaging also it can be used. They degrade in the nature by themselves, so even if it is thrown unknowingly in the nature it doesn't cause any harm to the environment. It is pollution less material thus all government has permitted the use of it. Another kind of bags which is used now a days are the compostable bags they are light in weight and easy to transport. They do not react with the material being packed and thus have multipurpose usage. With the bags comes the compostable packaging. It is a very healthy packaging which can be used for medicinal packaging also. This kind of compostable packaging can be printed also for the promotional uses.

Many manufactures use compostable packaging for their company's promotion. Compostable bags and compostable packaging is used in every house hold purposes. It is as strong as regular plastic bags but it can be helpful in the environment. Its benefits can play a major role in saving the planet. There are several reasons why it should be placed in every household in exchange of the regular ones. Saving nature should be the concern of every human being and thus the choice of the bags should be made accordingly keeping in mind the benefits as well as the side effects. Biodegradable plastic will indeed break down over a period of time - although there are no requirements for the speed of the decomposition - due to the actions of bacteria or fungi.

Biodegradable plastics are made with 5% cornstarch or vegetable oil, and they cannot be recycled because the starch or oil additive compromises the quality of recycled plastics. But compostable plastic bags degrade only in industrial-scale composting plants, not in home compost bins, and they -cannot be recycled with ordinary plastic bags, because they will contaminate the waste stream.
