Luxury Hotels - Are they worth it?

Once you've chosen your destination and planned your route, choosing your accommodations is the next step. Many travellers enjoy staying in luxury hotels. When searching the internet or travel books, there are several options for luxury hotels. Aside from the Zagat and Diamond rating, what earns the hotel that luxury rating? It can become subjective depending your needs and desires. For example, the Four Seasons Hotels offer room service for your pets. If you are lucky enough to be vacationing in a warm climate you can enjoy iced towels, evian spritz and frozen treats around the pool. When travelling with a family, children 5 and under eat for free. Also included is a day at the kids’ camp where children will enjoy exploration and activities pertaining to the area. Parents can enjoy an adult day at the same time.
If you are checking in at a Ritz Carton Hotel make sure you partake in the chocolate chip cookies and fruit available at check in. Your bags will magically appear in your room without any effort on your part. The pool area is sure to be inviting with comfortable lounges and towel assistants to help you set up your sunbathing station. Once you are done with the pool, head back to your room and call the bath butler. The bath butler will set up and draw a custom designed bathing experience for you. While in your bath, put your room service order in for a delectable dessert which can be delivered to you at any time.

The W Hotels are known for having the most comfortable and luxurious bedding. After a wonderful night of slumber, you'll want to buy and take home the entire bedding package.

When searching for luxury hotels, don't be afraid to try a small, boutique hotel. Most of these unique places offer personal amenities that the larger hotel chains don't. The Tickle Pink Inn in Monterey, CA (USA) is a perfect example of this. Built into the cliffside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and coastline makes this hotel special and magnificent place to stay. You'll enjoy a complimentary wine and cheese reception, with specialty local California wines, while listening and watching the waves crash directly below you. The settings of the smaller, luxury hotels are amazing.

Travelling to and exploring new destinations is always exciting and can be exhausting. So don't be afraid to spoil yourself and splurge on that luxury hotel. You'll find it's definitely worth it!
